Sydney’s Industrial Land Shortage is ‘Worse Than It Looks’

Sydney has little more than two years of serviced industrial land remaining at current rates of demand—and it’s not a lack of potential sites causing the issue.

According to Colliers’ Sydney Industrial Land Crunch report, the city’s industrial land shortage is being driven by a lack of development-ready land, rather than a lack of industrial zoning.

The report found that while Greater Sydney has 5642ha of undeveloped industrial-zoned land, only 351ha, or 6 per cent, is serviced and ready for development.
